This processing is carried out for the technical provision, stability, and security of the website on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. The recipient of this data is our hosting provider as a technical service provider. The log files are stored only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes and are then automatically deleted. This data is not combined with other data sources.
This website uses locally hosted fonts (Cormorant Garamond, Great Vibes, Jost), meaning the font files are stored on our own server or that of our hosting provider. No connection to third-party servers (e.g. Google) is made, and no data such as your IP address is transmitted to external providers.
An exception is our budget calculator (subpage "budgetrechner.html"): this page loads the same fonts via the Google Fonts content delivery network (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Visiting this subpage therefore establishes a connection to Google's servers, transmitting your IP address to Google. You have the option of contacting us via WhatsApp. The button links to the WhatsApp messenger service operated by WhatsApp Ireland Limited, a subsidiary of Meta Platforms, Inc. Should you contact us via a contact form on this website, the data you enter — depending on the form, this may include name, email address, phone number, details about your planned wedding, and your message — will be processed solely for the purpose of handling your inquiry. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent, unless this is necessary to process your inquiry or we are legally obligated to do so.
We store the data submitted as part of contacting us (by email, WhatsApp, or contact form) only for as long as necessary to process and respond to your inquiry. Should this subsequently lead to a business relationship, the retention periods customary for business correspondence under commercial and tax law apply. Otherwise, we delete your data as soon as it becomes apparent that the matter has been conclusively resolved and no statutory retention obligations apply.
On our website we offer an interactive budget calculator, the detailed version of which (full price calculator with PDF export) can be unlocked for a fee. As part of this purchase and unlock process, we and service providers we engage process the following data:
Payment is handled by the payment service provider Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin, Ireland, as well as Stripe, Inc., USA for certain processing steps). When paying, you submit your payment and billing data (e.g. card or account details, name, email address) directly to Stripe; we ourselves do not receive or store complete payment data. Stripe processes this data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. The legal basis for our data processing is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (contract performance). This may involve a transfer of data to the USA; Stripe has put in place appropriate safeguards for this (including EU Standard Contractual Clauses). Further information: stripe.com/privacy.
After successful payment, an individual unlock code is generated automatically and stored, together with your email address, the purchase date, and a status note, in a Google Sheets spreadsheet (Google Ireland Limited or Google LLC, USA). To verify a code entered in the budget calculator, the tool queries a server-side interface (Google Apps Script) to check whether the code is valid; only the entered code is transmitted for this purpose, no further personal data. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (performance of the purchase contract for the unlock).
Generating the code, storing it in Google Sheets, and sending the confirmation email containing the unlock code are handled automatically via the service Zapier (Zapier Inc., 548 Market St #62411, San Francisco, CA, USA). For this purpose, Zapier receives the email address you provided during payment as well as purchase data from Stripe, and processes this data solely to automatically deliver the confirmation email to you. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR. This may involve a transfer of data to the USA; we have entered into the necessary data processing agreements with Zapier.
So that you do not have to re-enter your code on every visit after a successful unlock, the budget calculator stores a simple unlock marker locally in your browser (so-called "local storage"). This is not a cookie, and no data is transmitted to us or third parties; the marker remains solely on your device until you delete it, e.g. via your browser settings. This storage is technically necessary to provide the feature you purchased (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR, Section 25 (2) No. 2 TTDSG).
Our website contains links to our profiles on Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited), TikTok (TikTok Technology Limited, Ireland), and Pinterest (Pinterest Europe Ltd., Ireland), as well as any other social networks that may be linked on the website. These are plain links only, not embedded plugins — no data is transmitted to the respective platforms when our pages load. Only when you actively click on such a link do you leave our website and reach the respective profile. The respective operator of each platform is solely responsible for data processing on that platform; their privacy policies apply.
This website currently does not use any analytics or marketing cookies, nor any tracking or analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics). Only technically necessary data is processed as part of the server log files (see Section 3) and the local storage described in Section 6.4. Should this change in the future, we will update this privacy policy accordingly and, where required, ask for your consent.
During the payment process in the budget calculator, you are redirected to the payment page of our payment service provider Stripe (domain stripe.com). Cookies set by Stripe may be used there, the scope of which we have no influence over; Stripe's privacy policy applies (see Section 6.1).
